The System:

SystematiChem™ is a highly automated synthesis pathway generation system that applies mathematics creatively to the problems faced in synthesis planning, development, and retrosynthesis in organic chemistry.

SystematiChem provides complete synthesis pathways using only known, purchasable starting materials and documented reactions. After this process is completed, the generated routes of the solutions can be reviewed and evaluated by chemists.

SystematiChem™ allows Organic Chemists to do in days and often just hours what would normally take months or even years to accomplish.

A medium sized compound brought into the SystematiChem™ system will require analyzing billions and perhaps trillions of potential routes to identify the faster, cheaper, and overall ideal solutions. In order to achieve this task, we developed an entirely new software approach for processing compounds and reactions.

This contrasts dramatically in comparison to existing organic synthesis planning and retrosynthesis software tools. The other available software processes only have the ability to investigate a small fraction of the routes processed by SystematiChem™, thus limiting their options for identifying useful solutions.

SystematiChem™ actually consists of many separate, distinct, and all highly optimized software programs which work in concert to successfully attack this very sophisticated problem. The use of high-end SQL database engines, specialized hardware, and innovative custom memory management techniques allow SystematiChem™ to analyze a far greater number of organic synthetic routes for a specific compound in a fraction of the time traditional methods use, and in ways previously thought to be impossible.
